After the success of last year, PREP’s Let’s Talk Hockey event will be returning to the Scotiabank Saddledome in November, 2026! Last year, 265 guests helped raise $104,000 for PREP’s programs and services for individuals with Down syndrome, and this year we plan to raise even more! This year we are excited to honour one of Calgary’s most iconic landmarks with a special “Ode to the Dome” celebration. Since opening in 1983, the Saddledome has been more than just an arena. With its unmistakable saddle-shaped roof, it quickly became a symbol of Calgary’s spirit and pride. It hosted unforgettable moments during the 1988 Winter Olympics, welcomed generations of fans, and saw the Calgary Flames battle through three Stanley Cup Finals, including their 1989 championship run. For PREP, it has also been home to our Let’s Talk Hockey event, creating lasting memories for our community. As we say goodbye, we celebrate the important role it has played in our journey. Join our hosts Calgary Flames GM Craig Conroy and Rob Kerr as they interview special guests from across the Flames organization.
This is a unique chance to hear from Flames players and coaching staff as they share stories from behind the scenes and talk about the season ahead. The evening will feature great food, prizes, a silent auction, hockey card trading (a fan favourite), and much more, so come prepared for an exciting night in support of a great cause. All money raised will go directly to The PREP Society to provide therapeutic and educational support to individuals with Down syndrome so they can live active and included lives in their communities. We hope you can join us!
